Hi,

just a quick note, because I'm currently AFK: I've had a short discussion with Simon about the naming of packages and whether the -dev package should always track the latest upstream version or if we should rather introduce a new package with suffix, like -v7-dev.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been any input from other go team members, so we didn't reach a conclusion.
