how's the go teams stance on tag2upload?

I don't see any advantage of tag2upload, so I won't use it.

You are the FTP Master in Debian, right? Why do you not see any
advantages? The system seems seriously flawed if FTP Master thinks it
has no benefits.

In general there are many conservatives in Debian who see Debian is perfect as is and any change is not required at all to any process or tools. This varies from people to people and for some the attachment may be only to specific tools or workflows.

Basically I have learned the hard way all the things in debian and new people should also go through the same hard way - it is not specific to Debian even, often parents tell their children of the tough path they had to walk when they grew up. The same goes to older people telling younger people in general (not just parents). Survivors syndrome - things look simple to you once you cross it - be it learning to drive, passing exams, degrees etc.
