Bug#338507: nscd: init script doesn't stop the daemon
Package: nscd
Version: 2.3.5-6
Severity: normal
The nscd init script (i.e. `nscd -K') doesn't stop the running
daemons. It just seems to render them useless by removing the socket:
# pgrep nscd
# /etc/init.d/nscd start
Starting Name Service Cache Daemon: nscd.
# pgrep nscd
