 It doesn't crash for me (on a clean Sarge system). Is this one of the
"works for me[tm]" kind of things, or has this problem been resolved?

 If the latter it would be really nice if it could be made executable
directly again, not with the need to wrap it through /lib/ld-linux.so.2.
