The stock /etc/gdm/locale.conf defines Traditional Chinese in the Big5 charset
as zh_TW.BIG5. This should be defined as zh_TW.Big5 (mixed case) instead;
if LANG is zh_TW.BIG5, xcin will not work.

zh_TW BIG5 is, however. glibc doesn't support specifying the encoding at=
=20
runtime when it wasn't specified at locale generation time. gdm 2.4.4.7-1
only uses the names as specified at generation time, so this problem is
fixed. It would be nice if glibc supported specifying the encoding even wh=
en
it is the default, however. (and that those locales also are locales that =
work
with X)
