Re: netcdf Transition

Thinking about package names, I just saw that there is a package

libnetcdfc++4

with version 4.1.3 in Debian. We could possibly rename our new libnetcdfcxx to libnetcdfc++4 (which is what it really is) and rename libnetcdfcxxlegacy to libnetcdfc++3. This coincides with netCDF's own nomenclature [1].

Thanks, I've pushed some changes to align the package with the new
netcdf-cxx package. Unfortunately the git hooks and configuration
weren't set, so there were no email & IRC messages sent for these changes.

We only need an ITP for netcdf-cxx-legacy, and a lintian override for
the no-fortify-source false positive before it can be uploaded.

Kind Regards,

Bas
