mod_tile and renderd in Debian

Hi,

I was looking for the apache module mod_tile, which is used to make
OSM tile providers, in Debian, but I couldn't find it.

Then I stumbled upon a 2 year old thread here:

Was there anything preventing the package from being included in
Debian? To me it seems like the process just stopped for some reason.
I cannot find any ITP bug.  If it is due to the lack of man-power, I
would like to give a hand. I also see that upstream has a
debian-folder in not so bad shape. So the effort needed seems to be
small. Maybe I'm missing something..
