qgis 2.2.0-1+unstable1 is the package from the upstream APT
repository, that packages doesn't contain many patches from the
release_2.2 branch that may have solved your problem.
Please try to reproduce your problem with the official Debian package
from experimental. If that has the same problem, please file a bug in
the BTS. If it doesn't then please file a bug in the upstream issue
tracker to prod them to apply the patches too.
