Re: Packaging mapserver 6.2.1



Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your offer to sponsor mapserver. I wasn't aware of the Blends
sponsoring guidelines.

Currently I'm looking more for feedback on the packing than sponsoring.
Especially regarding the new shared library.

The build for Debian is not linked the same as the Ubuntu package
requiring to LD_PRELOAD libmapserver-6.2.1.so to have the GDAL and other
plugins available. I'm looking into what's causing this difference.

With regard to the SoB preconditions I can confirm that I understand the
Blends principle, but I'm not part of the pkg-grass on alioth (yet). So
I cannot commit to the git repo where the package is maintained.
