Answer: For me it is bad news, Tilecache is going to be released broken.
No more broken than it has been ever since it went into Debian. There's a
new package, you can install it, or you can patch your local build, or you

Thanks Chris, We are building our own Debian packages since I have discovered that problem (and we always will, because we are currently using some local modifications). All I want to do is to make life easier for other Debian GIS users and make Debian GIS quality higher.

this behavior is not a regression, and fixing
non-regressions at this point in the release cycle seems silly.
Even if patch is really simple and it is solving bug in frequently used feature ?

Anyway, I really appreciate all Your work.
