Thanks for your feedback!  Having reviewed the Debian Policy Manual
again, I can see that I may need to adjust the category and priority
of the package, but other than that I don't understand fully the
issues at stake. Granted the project is only a few months old, but I
feel that it is getting reasonable uptake by users of other F/OSS GIS
projects, such as MapServer, GeoServer, and WorldWind.

Would you please explain in greater depth what you mean by "needs
revisions" and "releaseable state for debian standards", please? I
will happily RTFM if you can point me to which M to RTF.
