Yes, the situation is quite good, but to call it a success already
seem a bit premature to me. Several of the packages are not part of
debian, have not been built on all the architectures in Debian, and
have no public bug database available in Debian.
And several of the java tools are not able to run using free software
JVMs, and thus are not usable for those able to accept the license
terms of the non-free software needed to use them.
We are on the right track, but not at the goal yet.
