The release candidates of PostGIS 1.0 have been found to be incompatible
with QGIS 0.6 and the current development versions. This is due to the
implementation of the lightweight geometry objects in PostGIS.
This issue will be addressed as soon as possible but likely won't be
available until the next release of QGIS. Until that time, you must use
PostGIS 0.9.x with QGIS.
