Thanks for the information. 

BTW: We can hope that the situation will change in near future. The
documentation about libpgjava says:

"The 8.0 release will build/run with jikes and sablevm, but that
combination will not support SSL because there is no SSL support in
classpath yet. Maybe split the package then."

So, we will could have libpgjava package in debian main - with some
contraints but at least this is a start.
