Hi folks,
Unfortunately, the grant proposal didn't go quite as well as I had
hoped, my proposal lost out to VentureC [0] by a "very narrow" margin.
I don't feel too bad though, as there weren't quite as many attendees as
we had hoped, so (after subtracting the costs for putting the event
together), they won the $10 pot :)
The presentation went well and the source material is available in my
repository's "docs" folder [1]. I got a few recommendations for future
presentations, in case anybody wants to reuse the slides or proposal:
- - Add the setup steps to a slide (one slide).
- - Focus more on the services available to the end user (one service per
slide).
Of course, neither of these are complete, and I really have no idea how
to add service descriptions to a slide ("Blog: It's your blog. Here's a
screenshot."). Using that approach with Tor, Diaspora, or Gnu Social
might be more useful, though.
To use the slides, try exporting them with ``rst2s5`` or ``rst2odp``
[2].
