Right now we're leaning toward using Babel, but we've gotten both
protocols working at the same time.

With the capability for non-mesh nodes to use the network as they would
any wireless network. Services use SSLv3/TLSv1 to encrypt traffic, and
we're looking at IPsec in opportunistic mode to encrypt inter-mesh node
traffic. About half of our service stack has been defined, the other
half is still in discussion. We've begun assembling the live
distribution of Linux using Porteus (http://porteus.org/) as our
platform. I have plans for a Debian metapackage, but that's going to be
a ways off.
