Gnome-volumer-control not working

Hi,
   i have ported debian for my target x86 Board,
   But i am not able to slaunch gnome-volume control.
i am getting "
"NO volume control Gstreamer plugins and/or device found" error

when i play any media file with Movie player sound is working

any idea why is it happening?
i tried adding user in audio group and all,but still no luck.
