recommended way of installing packages on emdebian crush

Title: recommended way of installing packages on emdebian crush

Hello,
a few weeks ago I managed with the help of this mailing list to install emdebian on a XScale Phytec PXA270 board together with a new kernel form kernel.org. (if anyone needs a step by step document which includes cross-comiling the kernel and installing the emdebian root file system I am happy to send it)

Now it is time to put some extra packages onto the system. There are not so much packages for emdebian crush available and from what I have seen mtd-utils which contains the utility to build a jffs2 image is not there. For emdebian grip it is available.
What would be the necessary steps to migrate this package to crush?

Another thing, the default mount command on crush does not support nfs. How can I configure emdebian to do so?
Greetings,
Marco
