Bug#509612: buildd.emdebian.org: [grip] sysvinit fails to configure with /dev/initctl problem

Package: buildd.emdebian.org
Severity: important

With the updated Grip repository, debootstrap almost works - except two
separate user tests have come up with the same error, but only the first
time that debootstrap is called:

# /var/lib/dpkg/info/sysvinit.postinst configure
init: timeout opening/writing control channel /dev/initctl

So far, only found:

Any ideas?
