i have a geode cpu in my soekris net4801

no problem running debian, its just a 586(or 686 im not shure, there is
an own optimization option in the kernel)...

be aware though that the performance may not be great (at least with the
natsemi nw chips and the hdd on the ide controller i don't get a great
performance...most of the time the system is processing hw or sw
interrupts)...so runing a db could be provlematic...
for php i had to ajust the max runtime of the scripts upward though they
are quite simple...
