Hi, Though I don't use helm as much as I did 3 years ago, it looks like its removal from testing blocks a lot of packages like rtags, eproject-el, virtualenvwrapper-el, etc., and I'd like to fix it and potentially adopt helm. On attempting to fix this by upgrading helm to the latest version (currently 4.0.3), I found out that there are 2 external bugs that are blocking this: * It now depends on wfnames. I have a RFS prepared[1]. * It requires async-package.el from emacs-async, which we didn't ship in 1.9.9-1. I have proposed a fix[2]. As for helm itself, I am refraining from making much packaging changes as suggested by the release team[3], though the majority of diff will come from upstream changes since 3.8.4 (> 3 years), I wonder whether this can still make it to Trixie. Please let me know, and if we are too late, it's still good to fix for Forky (and I'll probably also update debhelper-compat and Standards-Version). Anyway, my fix can be seen in the bug#1099238 branch (diff[4]). Note that helm uses dgit-maint-debrebase workflow, so this branch should not be merged directly. In summary, if all the fixes above look good, I would need sponsorship for the updates of the 3 packages. TIA!
