Bug#814956: RFS: paredit-el/24-1 [ITA] -- Emacs minor mode for structurally editing Lisp code

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my adoption of paredit-el.

Paredit is an Emacs minor mode for editing LISP. It enforces
consistency between opening and closing parentheses, and provides
various commands for structurally editing code. It is in very wide use
by Emacs users.

* Package name    : paredit-el
  Version         : 24-1
  Upstream Author : Taylor R. Campbell
* URL             : http://mumble.net/~campbell/emacs/paredit.el
* License         : GPL-3+
  Section         : lisp

Changes since the last upload:

  * Adopt paredit in Debian. (Closes: #736380)
  * New upstream release. (Closes: #564616)
  * Convert package build to use dh_elpa.  (Closes: #513048, #582062, #526598)
    Binary package renamed paredit-el -> elpa-paredit with
    transitional binary package provided.
  * New machine-readable debian/copyright file.  (Closes: #814825)
  * Change source format to 3.0 (quilt).
  * Bump debhelper compat level to 9 (no additional changes required)
  * Bump standards version to 3.9.7 (no additional changes required).
  * Add gbp.conf.
  * Change package section editors -> lisp to comply with dh_elpa
    packaging conventions.
  * Add Vcs-* fields to debian/control.
  * Install upstream changelog.
  * Generate and install HTML documentation.
  * Register HTML documentation with doc-base.
  * Install CREDITS file.
  * Run upstream test suite as part of package build.

Download with dget:

    dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/paredit-el/paredit-el_24-1.dsc

Or build it with gbp:

    git clone https://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-emacsen/pkg/paredit-el.git
    git checkout pristine-tar # to create this branch locally, so gbp uses it
    git checkout debian/24-1
    git verify-tag debian/24-1 # if you have my key
    gbp buildpackage

Thanks.
