Hohoho... Easy. Don't stroll along here with such preformed and prejudiced opinions. Some people here have close cooperations and affiliations with people working on Ubuntu and the Ubuntu ecosystem had some great impact on its mother distro Debian.
Getting back to the topic of this thread.I recall some exchange between people from Edubuntu and Debian (Edu) years back and the main issue between the two distros' edu efforts was, that many many educational applications in Ubuntu had been packaged for Ubuntu directly and not been injected into Ubuntu via Debian.
So, for someone who wants to work on bringing Edubuntu and Debian (Edu) close together is:
* identify educational packages in Ubuntu that are not in Debian * package them for DebianThen the edubuntu meta packages can simply be uploaded to Debian (after some close introspection and review).
