This script is triggered after the packages plymouth and desktop-base have been installed and d-e-artwork is going to be set as default theme, including the one for plymouth. No easy way to fix this bug, I guess. IMO the only solution would be to drop the plymouth configuration from the script mentioned above and to let cfengine do the job after installation. IIRC it had been planned to use update-alternatives for the plymouth theme as well, but it has been too late for desktop-base to implement it for stretch. I guess this bug should be addressed to src:debian-edu-artwork. Wolfgang
