If I got it right regarding krb5, we just need to wait for the fix to
enter Jessie.
As for our insserv overrides, I do not remember the details any more but
suspect they are obsolete and can be removed. These were the commits
adding them:
src/debian-edu-config-git$ git log etc/insserv/overrides/kdm
commit 0a71fad3647f826f28c53ef060a3cbced549ea0d
Author: Petter Reinholdtsen <pere@hungry.com>
Date: Fri Jul 9 12:07:34 2010 +0000
Add workaround for #584434 in kdm, making sure kdm starts after
krb5-kdc to get a local Kerberos kdc working with kdm.
src/debian-edu-config-git$ git log etc/insserv/overrides/ntp
commit da37142afb5677f1e024675110109c7fff83344b
Author: Petter Reinholdtsen <pere@hungry.com>

Add insserv override files for ntp, nslcd and dhcp3-server while we
wait for their respective bugs to be fixed.
I guess checking which bugs were relevant in 2010 will tell us more, but
a easier way to check might be to install a Jessie installation, remove
the overrides and see if the ordering in /etc/rcX.d/ change when running
update-rc.d. Any voluneteering to have a look? Would be great to
reduce the number of files in debian-edu-config a bit more. :)
