How is Debian Edu used according to popcon.skolelinux.org?

I had a look at the popcon.skolelinux.org results to see if I could
get an idea about how people are using Debian Edu are used, and got
some insights I wanted to share with the rest of you. First of all, I
find it strange that 783 machines are rapporting to
popcon.skolelinux.org, but only 143 have one of our metapackages
installed (the education-common package). No LTSP client will report
to popcon.skolelinux.org by default, so we will mostly see the servers
and installed systems, not PXE booted diskless clients.

Of the ones with education-common installed, 125 (87%) are networked
clients and 16 (11%) are standalone clients. Not sure about the
remaining two percent. 52 (36%) of them are main servers, and 31
(22%) are thin client servers. There is probably an overlap between
these two categories.

109 (76%) machines have a desktop installed, and among these 96 (88%)
are using KDE, 13 (12%) Gnome, 6 (6%) LXDE and 3 (3%) Xfce. No Mate
system report to popcon.skolelinux.org yet.

Are there other interesting observations to be found in these numbers?

These are the raw numbers I looked at:
