IMO the problem is the setup for diskless workstations, as far as thin clients are concerned, setup seems to be okay. > Feb 8 13:28:45 in-target: dictionaries-common (1.12.11) wird eingerichtet ... > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: update-default-ispell: Question empty but elements installed for class "ispell" > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: dictionaries-common/default-ispell: return code: "0", value: "" > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: Choices: , Manuelle Einrichtung von symbolischen Verweisen > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: shared/packages-ispell: return code: "10" owners/error: "shared/packages-ispell doesn't exist" > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: Installed elements: american (American English), british (British English), castellano (Spanish Tex mode), castellano-utf8 (Spanish utf-8), castellano8 (Spanish 8 bit), catala TeX (Catalan Tex), catala-utf8 (Catalan utf-8) > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: Please see "/usr/share/doc/dictionaries-common/README.problems", section > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: "Debconf database corruption" for recovery info. > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: update-default-ispell: Selected ispell dictionary "" > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: does not correspond to any installed package in the system > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: and no alternative ispell dictionary could be selected. > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von dictionaries-common (--configure): > Feb 8 13:28:47 in-target: Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 255 zurück > > It is a problem with debconf and dictionaries-common, not quite sure > what can cause it. On the main server side this problem doesn't exist. So it seems to be related to the way the ltsp chroot is set up for diskless workstations. > There is also this: > > Feb 8 13:29:40 in-target: katepart (4:4.8.4-1) wird eingerichtet ... > Feb 8 13:29:40 in-target: xdg-utils (1.1.0~rc1+git20111210-6) wird eingerichtet ... > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: dpkg: Abhängigkeitsprobleme verhindern Konfiguration von kdelibs5-plugins: > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: kdelibs5-plugins hängt ab von libenchant1c2a (>= 1.6); aber: > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: Paket libenchant1c2a ist noch nicht konfiguriert. > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: oxygen-icon-theme (4:4.8.4-1) wird eingerichtet ... > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von kdelibs5-plugins (--configure): > Feb 8 13:29:41 in-target: Abhängigkeitsprobleme - verbleibt unkonfiguriert > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: shared-desktop-ontologies (0.10.0-1) wird eingerichtet ... > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: plasma-scriptengine-javascript (4:4.8.4-2) wird eingerichtet ... > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: dpkg: Abhängigkeitsprobleme verhindern Konfiguration von kde-runtime: > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: kde-runtime hängt ab von kdelibs5-plugins (>= 4:4.8); aber: > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: Paket kdelibs5-plugins ist noch nicht konfiguriert. > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von kde-runtime (--configure): > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: Abhängigkeitsprobleme - verbleibt unkonfiguriert > Feb 8 13:30:25 in-target: libkmime4 (4:4.8.4-2) wird eingerichtet ... > > Never seen it before, but suspect some circular package dependency > causing installiaton problem. Yes, but this dependency problem didn't occur on the server side. The KDE desktop works like expected when testing some apps. (I did some steps manually to get the system up and running.) Kerberos smtp does work, imap not. Seems to be that dovecot-gssapi is needed (and some configuration). In the chroot I didn't manage to get out of the dependency circle other than removing all KDE related packages (and some more iirc) -- apt-get -f install, dpkg --configure -a, dpkg -P <some pkgs> won't succeed.
