I favor generic event storage over custom "MRBS" storage, as event storage is easier accessible by more clients: You can provide *both* web views and integrate booking status directly into e.g. email clients. You asked for experiences with MRBS. My experience is that MRBS works but is (to me!) not the best booking tool.
