Re: gosa-netgroups -> hostname entry in nis triples needs format <host>.<domain>

Hi Alejandro,

Ok. At last some domain stuff must to be used.
I'll need a dump of your actual ldap (use a slapcat, compress and send to me).
I also need how the queries to ldap are being realized (put a log
level 256 in the ldap server and make some Nis Netgroup queries, take
the queries from the syslog file).

I have thought about the domain issue again...

the values for nisNetgroupTriple have the format:

  (<hostname>,<domain>,<user>)

For Debian Edu, i don't think that we need the <domain> component to be configurable in GOsa. AFAIK libnss does not look at those fields.

What is rather the case is that it is recommended to produce two nisNetgroupTriple attribute entries in netgroup LDAP objects, so both variants of the hostname are available in LDAP:

  (<hostname>,,)
  (<fqdn.for.hostname>,,)

Maybe we should focus on this rather then implementing domains for GOsa's NIS netgroup plugin?

Thanks+Greetings,
Mike
