Hi all, we may also have to discuss the ntpd setup on Debian Edu's tjener. The default currently is to use 127.127.1.0 which is an IP that tells NTPd to query the local system's clock.
Does this really work for everybody? Is there an alternative to this default setting?
I have just added a comment line to cf.ntp (that gets written to /etc/ntpd.conf) that explains the meaning of this - not known to everybody - IP address.
