Bug#629044: Debian Edu PXE-installer fails

all attempts installing Debian Edu workstations/laptops with the PXE  
installer provided by the main server tjener failed (tests are apprx.  
four weeks ago).

i386 arch -> failed to recognize a hard drive (on a p4 celeron system)
amd64 arch -> gets stuck during update-grub at end of installation

I had the impression that the PXE install environment was not up-to-date...
