[Bug 1420] New: Installing gnome in lenny makes thin clients unusable

http://bugs.skolelinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1420

Summary: Installing gnome in lenny makes thin clients unusable
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: lenny-test
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: debian-edu-config
        AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
        ReportedBy: jredrejo@edu.juntaextremadura.net

After installing lenny-test dvd, using installgui desktop=gnome at prompt,
everything seemed to be ok. I've installed main-server and ltsp-server profiles
in the same virtualbox machine.

The desktop at the ltsp-server is fine.

But after trying to boot a thin client, I check it gives a blank screen.
Disabling usplash I've seen that gdm is running (giving multiple permission
errors), so ldm can not run, and the login screen never appears.
