Using debian-edu-5.0.4+edu0-cd.iso on a brand new machine w/o built-in CD
drive.
- used profile: workstation
- installed from an extern samsung DVD drive (USB)
- automatic installation complained about non-standard cd drive and
failed auto-detection in the first place.
- install process changed to expert mode, auto detection for
cd drive worked here.
next step: partitioning
* manual mode did not work but, instead loop back to the part menu.
(eternal loop when sticking to that option)
* using "largest free space on disk" worked so far, installation competed.
After reboot:
in the end we had a running installation, but crucial packages like kde or less
were missing!
