Re: shutdown menu option

Dear Nigel,

thanks (after months) for this thread, which is very up to date
(like: nothing seems having changed - still facint that problem).

I also appreciated Jonas' reply giving some hints (powerdev/ck),
while I thought he read the request upside down: We don't want
to lock in users in their session - we want to free them, we want
to increase usability and to save energy!

After logout (allowed), it is possible to shutdown a workstation, anyway.
But this provides you are curious/dary enough to watch what is hidden
underneath the "Menu" button - newbiees might miss the shutdown entry
there - and the machine will run over night (as nigel confirmed).

You had to put the PC in a cask or glue the power button if you want
to prevent users from stopping using the current session...

As for this: No more Sarge on WS (but on Tjener), and a template Lenny WS
to be rolled out within 2 weeks by some company. I wonder if I should
try some upgrade to Squeaze (possibly losing many Java stuff installed),
or just install some "hook" that runs scripts from home0/admin when using
this account for login...
