Summary: automount complains: failed to mount
/skole/tjener/openoffice
Product: Skolelinux
Version: lenny
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P3
Component: Configuration
AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
ReportedBy: andi.mundt@web.de
Hi,
from time to time I get strange syslog messages from my workstation:
Feb 12 10:04:51 static00 automount[7598]: failed to mount
/skole/tjener/openoffice
Feb 12 10:04:51 static00 automount[7607]: failed to mount
/skole/tjener/openoffice
Feb 12 10:04:52 static00 automount[7615]: failed to mount
/skole/tjener/openoffice
Feb 12 10:04:52 static00 automount[7618]: failed to mount
/skole/tjener/openoffice
Feb 12 10:04:53 static00 automount[7629]: failed to mount
/skole/tjener/openoffice
I could not really determine the circumstances this occurs, except that it
happens when a user logs in (kde startup) and it seems to only happen when the
home directory is not yet mounted (not sure about that) for example the first
login after bootup.
After creating the directory /skole/tjener/openoffice the message changes to:
Feb 9 23:09:22 static01 automount[3558]: failed to mount /skole/ldaprc
and after creating now /skole/ldaprc I get:
Feb 9 23:45:57 static01 automount[4633]: mount(autofs): warning: about to
mount over /skole/tjener, continuing
I found corresponding messages in .xsession-errors of the user logging in:
Xsession: X session started for exause at Fri Feb 12 10:04:43 CET 2010
startkde: Starting up...
kbuildsycoca running...
Reusing existing ksycoca
OpenOffice path is '../../openoffice'
OpenOffice path is '../../openoffice'

Launched ok, pid = 7625
OpenOffice path is '../../openoffice'
There are already artsd objects registered, looking if they are active...
kbuildsycoca running...

I am kind of stuck now, could not find neither the string "openoffice" nor
"ldaprc" in any configuration file.
Any help to debug this further is appreciated.
Regards,
Andi
