Eh, no that is not the design. The design is to provide a working DNS
configuration in the DHCP response on the thin client network and NAT
on the thin client to make sure the thin client network can be used
for non-thin client machines too. The NAT-ing is configured only
for this to work.
Besides, this bug is not about failing non-thin client machines. This is
about incorrect resolv.conf on thin clients. The setting on thin clients
should be 10.0.2.2 or 192.168.0.254, not 127.0.0.1.
