1) Is this the same set-up as in #1410?
   It may be relevant if there's no network connection.

2) Please try running snakeoil-on-ice and see what happens.

3) Please try removing the profile at
$HOME/.mozilla/firefox/debian-edu.profile,
   and let iceweasel create a new one.
   As in #1359.
