[Bug 1399] New: lenny-alpha1 LTSP thin client regressions
http://bugs.skolelinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1399
Summary: lenny-alpha1 LTSP thin client regressions
Product: Skolelinux
Version: lenny
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: debian-edu-install
AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
ReportedBy: jss@bzz.no
I installed main + ltsp server profiles using
debian-edu-lenny-netinstall-alpha1.iso.
Now that ltsp-make-client is run, the chroot no longer works well for LTSP
clients.
If I recall correctly nameserver pointed to 10.0.2.1 in /etc/resolv.conf (I
think this has been mentioned on the list). Also, after that is fixed, it takes
a very long time before ldm appears. See the attachment bootchart.png.
The cryptsetup/udevsettle hang seems to be caused by ltsp-client-setup starting
before udev in rcS.d. Comparing rcS.d with an older LTSP chroot, several init
scripts have been reordered.
(Choosing version lenny as lenny-alpha1 is missing.)
