I think that what Oded is pointing out is that when indeed using ASCII 
minuscles that works well for the system, then the kids cannot locate 
those characters on the keyboard - because hebrew keyboards do not 
contain ASCII characters at all.

(for Ubuntu, but the problem is somewhat generic to Linux and other 
unices, I believe):
