Hello,
I forgot to write why I closed it on the bug.
It think my problem has something to do with this

On a thinclient with 64MB shared memory running the 2.6.22-4-486 kernel and
OpenOffice 2.4,
I can print transparent images without the workaround.
It's still a bit slow, but at least X doesn't crash.
