I do know that you are only doing clean-room tests currently, and even 
if you did have FAM installed it is quite unlikely that it would go amok 
during those tests (and that you would miss noticing even if it did).

With "you" I meant Ralf in the above email.  I deliberately renamed the 
subject, bacuse Ralf seemed to describe a couple of cases only 
_inspired_ by your case.
