Sounds great indeed!
Please file an RFP (Request for Packaging) bug against the
pseudo-package "WNPP" (Work Needed and Pending Packages) in Debian, if
not done already. Probably the easiest way to do that properly is using
the commandline tool "reportbug", found in the Debian package of the
same name.
Not sure I can find time to package it myself, but feel free to ping me
again if noone else steps up to do it.
