[Bug 1293] New: Should not add "dns-search intern" to loopback interface on dhcp-clients

http://bugs.skolelinux.no/show_bug.cgi?id=1293

Summary: Should not add "dns-search intern" to loopback
                    interface on dhcp-clients
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: etch-release-3.0r0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: debian-edu-install
        AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
        ReportedBy: faj@bzz.no

dns-search intern was added to the loopback interface to make it easier to get a
working network/dns-setup when people start set up eth0 as a dhcp-client on a
main-server (maybe even combined with the workstation/thinclientserver profile)

As it turns out this also adds dns-search intern on the dhcp-clients, and that
makes it harder to change into a non-default network setup, where the
domain-name is replaced, and the domain .intern is replaced with a real-life
domain.

then the client first will try to look up the ldap-server ldap.intern, before it
times out. I'm not sure if it ever will get to the point where it tries the
ldapserver ldap.real.life.example.org (or whatever the domain is..)

It is solvable, either by making the domain .intern not resolvable, or by making
the domain .intern an alias of the domain .real.life.example.org
