Setting up debian-edu / wireless & pxe

Initially, we will be in a wired environment.   There are some others working on this right now.  I think having an ethernet connection to the wrt54gl running openwrt and letting the wrt connect the thin client to the server.  We were discussing having the install modified so that absolute basics are run locally but more processor intensive applications are routed to the server without the user noticing.

Well, I just started using Skole/Linux today.  I thought the transition from regular Debian would be minimal.  However, the initial set up has been awkward.  I'm still at the point of configuring the DNS.I don't know how.  I went to the resolv.conf and it stated all my changes would be overwritten.  I don't know how much of this is Skole related or kde.  I've been looking at the documentation but I haven't found where to configure the networking (at this point just to use the web).  I can apt-get and but when I go to the web it's trying to go through the proxy.  I deleted the proxy in /etc/environment.conf and I clicked a couple places to connect directly to the internet (meaning the router) but not much happens.

I've been browsing the wiki and found the howto for the impatient.  What else might help clarify things?
