that is not the solution. I can not use lwat using admin and the root
password
how it is specified in the welcome text from the 'info page for a
debian-edu-installation'. If I follow the link to lwat and than login
like
specified (with admin and my installation root pwd) the login seemed to
be ok,
but EVERY attempt to create user or machine or groups is "award" with an
>ERROR:
unable update nextID<.
And there are no cookies for tjener. Needless to say that I delete
several times
all cookies.
I have installed a few slx3.0, but a few days ago I could not get passed
the error you are mentioning. I logged in and out several times, deleted
cookies, tried different browsers, restarted different services, the hole
system in the end, but allways the same error. The only difference from
previous installs was the root password. It was longer. When I put a new
password for root, admin, and put the password hash in slapd.conf it all
worked fine. If this was the reason I don't know, but it could be worth a
try. You could try without the password hash first.
To change admin type the following on the command-line, and press enter:
/usr/share/debian-edu-config/tools/passwd admin
To change root, type passwd on the command-line, and press enter.
Or possibly you could reinstall, but it should not make a big difference
if you use the netinstall or dvd. If you use dvd, you will have to upgrade
after installing (apt-get update && apt-get upgrade)

No, in this case the problem is not that, what you means to know.
Any other idea (?) - or should I invest more time and download the
installation-dvd instead of the network-cd I used untill now?
But that is all very disappointing for me - because I'm no 'linuxman'
and I only
want to get an impression of skolelinux. And now it all stopped since
days
because I only can use the user root ;-( . Not that what I want to
simulate an
school installation.
