Dear list,

three reasons made me update our "Atlas" at
http://skolelinux.no/slschools/cartography.html

1. The world map was polluted by some label noise.
2. Maps created by xplanet are static.
3. I wanted to learn some more PHP & MySQL.

Now, the world map is drawn in real-time, using a PHP script. 
You can control this script using some extra parameters:

  http://www.skolelinux.no/slschools/worldmap.php?lang=de

... will give you German labels.

  http://www.skolelinux.no/slschools/worldmap.php?mode=discs&dotsize=3

... will disable shadows and use smaller dots instead.
