I wonder if this is really p2 and needs to be fixed for the release. Laptops, 
as common and nice as they are, are not part of the default debian-edu network 
architecture. 

Also, is network-manager installed per default or was this an extra step you 
took? Then it's "your fault" that it doesnt work anymore, not the default 
installs :-)
