I think it's that aptitude is localized to german (or spanish or whatever) and still prompts "Y(es)/N(o)" instead of "J/N" or "S/N" or whatever. But this is an aptitude bug, and nothing debian-edu should fix. You can check http://bugs.debian.org/aptitude to see if it's already reported in Debian. regards, Holger
