You need to provide more information, for example what you are trying to do,
and how you are doing it. See <URL: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/HowTo/BugReports > for some instructions
on how to make a good bug report.

Hi! Made a new try today from rc1:
expert hw-detect/start_pcmcia=false
Every selection default, except:

language german
no additional locales
Select "eject" and "lowmem" (this computer only has 32-64MB RAM) from "Installer-Komponenten von CD laden"
Profile: Basis (i want to build a backup-server _and_ gateway).
Partitioning manually, because i want to install to/boot from sd0:
IDE1 Master (hda) 250.1 GB WDC...
Nr. 1 primär 250.1 GB ext3
SCSI1 (0,1,0) (sda) 4.6GB IBM...
Nr. 1 primär 3.6 GB B f ext3	/
Nr. 5 logisch 962.3 MB f Swap	Swap
Configured packetmanager to use 10.0.2.2:3128 as proxy
Skipped "LTSP-chroot-umgebung einrichten", continued with "Installiere Debian-Edu-Profi (Menureihenfolge erzwingen)" Installed grub-bootloader (i was _not_ asked where to install to - it installs to hd0 instead of hd1, where i boot from -, but that's another problem)
Switch to console2
~ # chroot /target
sh-3.1# /usr/sbin/grub-install /dev/sda
; o.k. and shows (hd0) /dev/hda (hd1) /dev/sda

restarted the system

Now my scsi-disk is hd0, so i have to edit grub :-(

Only one NIC is tried to be configuered by dhcp. In my case, not the one, i used before reboot :-(

Keyboard-layout is us, though german was selected.

Edit /etc/network/interfaces to have both NICs using dhcp
Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst to boot from hd0

rebooted

doing a aptitude update/upgrade debian-edu-config is kept back, debian-edu-install, education-tasks and linux-image-2.6.18-4-686 are to be installed

rebooted

Call aptitude and search/install slbackup. o.k.
Seams like my pc, skolelinux or me myself had a bad day last friday, can't reproduce the warning about PATH-entries. Or maybe, it's because of having used encryption last time?

btw: aptitude _is_ german, output of
# date
Di 29.Mai...
too, so only keyboard-layout is not localized.

Regards
