One problem on workstation/terminalserver seems to be a fstab entry.

cat /etc/fstab
/dev/sda1 /var/run/drives/usbdisk-sda1 vfat defaults 0 0

on standalone it is not generated.

remove the fstab with:
:> /etc/fstab

and it works.
